New fee improves art equipment, expands performance series | The Nevada Sagebrush

New fee improves art equipment, expands performance series | The Nevada Sagebrush: "Olivia Avila, a 20-year-old nursing major, said she supports the fee because of its benefits to students.

“I won’t be going to the events; I’m not into the art scene,” Avila said. “I think people will get mad because money is so tight, but if it’s going toward the art majors, I’m for it.”

Rosenberg expressed great excitement for the benefits the initiative will have for students.

“This isn’t charity, it’s philanthropy,” Rosenberg said. “This will be mutually beneficial between the students and administration. We’re all concerned for the same things. We might as well give it a try — we have nothing to lose.”"
